Its finally friday! yay! this week seemed to drag a bit for me and now I am so glad that it is over! I also didn't want you to worry that i was involved in some drunk bicycling accident. I got dropped off and picked up!

So many apologies for being silent since Thursday I believe. I had one of my bestest friends in town from San Fran and we spent all weekend drinking and dining. It was a lot of fun and now its time to get back to the real world! I of course did a little bit of shopping and so here's a sneak peek at what i bought. So one of my daily blogporn reads is The Wednesday Chef
I started reading her blog a few months ago and have been making various items off of it. First let me preface this by saying Jack and I have been trying to cook more at home for various reasons: 1) we are both vegetarian now and its harder to find healthier meals at a restaurant and 2) its a good way to save lots of cash.

So anyways back to the The Wednesday Chef. I made this kick ass Roasted Broccoli with Shrimp served over a bed of brown rice. Yumm yumm!

Went to the farmers market by my work and had a homeade pinneapple tamale and a pint of raspberries. Luckily, I remebered to take a photograph of these before I ate them all! they were soooooooooo good. It fees like summer on this toasty 80 degree day.

Love at first drip

Well I don't know if you've heard but I have a bit of a coffee addiction. I could drink perfectly frothed cappuccino's everyday all day long. So I took a few Christmas pennies and bought myself a KRUPS espresso maker. Apologies for the fuzzy pictures



And the magic! I bought a set of 5 demitasse cups and saucers from World Market. I think they go swimmingly with my latte bowls from anthropologie.

My Horizontal Life by Chelsea Handler

I was given this book for Christmas by my friend Stacie and I absolutely loved it and read it in an afternoon. It has maybe 20 odd stories from Chelsea Handler's sex conquests. Easy reading and definitely make you thankful for being in a relationship. There is everything from a one night stand with a midget to a guy with a tiny penis.

Friends I wanted to let you all know that its true! I did almost die this evening. I bought a mandolin to help make cutting things in the kitchen easier and now I have a giant bandage over my flesh part of the thumb because I thought it would be fun to see how much of my hand fit into the blade area! owwwwwwwwwwwwww...

Happy New Year

Good Morning!

Oh how I've missed you so but the past few weeks were busy! I was in the tundra (Wisconsin) for the Holidays and when I returned I had a suprise overnight guest and we had lots of trouble to get ourselves into!

I'm working on my 2009 Goals and will blog about them shortly. Probably Saturday or Sunday. I also reviewed my 2008 Goals and I did most of them! It really makes me happy to see that I accomplished what I set out for!

Now for the fun stuff. I have a list of blogs I check every morning and yesterday I happened on this beautiful image board from Snippet and Ink's blog and kids! I'm in love! I really love her blog and her wedding inspiration boards she puts together! So enjoy and Happy Tuesdays!
