I've got it again! I can't help it but maybe I can. I guess I don't need to make my homepage Budget Travel where they put these amazing photo's from all over the world as the first thing I see when I get up every morning.

Not sure if 2011 holds a lot of international travel for us. We want to focus on saving and paying off unnecessary debt and while we did save and budget for our trip last year it left our savings account a little barren. I think this year we might plan a trip back home to Wisconsin and road trip it back! How much fun would that be? We've got several stops in the U.S. that we could do and it'd be nice to spend a few days just together driving. I also need to put together some posts about our trip to France and Belgium. It was amazing and even last night I was desperately missing France. Big city America isn't the same as big city Europe. oh well, C'est La Vie.

Reality Check

I love my job but I also love not working. I miss my carefree unemployed days but missed having a paycheck and stability back then too! Plus job hunting and interviewing isn't all that fun to do for an extended period of time - like when you don't get the job it all of the sudden takes you back to 6th grade! Am I not cool enough? Is my hair stupid? Even if there are 300+ other people trying to interview for the same job (not a joke).

After being on vacation for 12 days over the holiday I'm a little hesitant to go back to work. The millions of emails to catch up on, the lists for stuff at home to do but we didn't but hey, its 2011 and time for a fresh start. I really love the New Year and having a New beginning. A lot changed for me in 2010 and I look forward to what 2011 brings.

New Blog Face in 2011

Happy New Year! In honor of the New Year and quite frankly, something I've been itching to do for a while. I am going to revamp this old blog. In May, the blog will turn 4 years old and quite frankly I was very different person at that time and now I need something new and fresh to start out 2011 with.

I had one of the best New Years ever to date as a couple! We've been together for 8 New Years and most have been bummers - (I've been sick a bunch of times, we weren't old enough to drink, last year we had a small gathering at home). Nothing to fancy but this year we decided to do something special. We've been dying to try Valentino's in Santa Monica. We both did a chef's tasting with wine pairings. We did a super late dinner and almost missed the New Years but we managed to fly out the door by 11:45 p.m. to get home and watch the ball drop and share a kiss and hug (for the fur babies) for 2011. It was by far one of the best New Years Eve's I've ever had!
