EarthDay Giveaway!

Plant a tree, take a pic, upload it to their website and get a free necklace! Seems pretty fricken sweet to me! I think we're going to try and do this! I have the pleasure of owning of their necklaces and a pair of studs. Cool jewelry and really nice adorable people!

Figs and Ginger Giveaway Info

I am hoping to get the rest of my SF trip up as soon as I have a free moment. Work just got very interesting. I've been temporarily promoted to a production coordinator position and will be overseeing a commercial! Yippee!

Heaping Mess of Jewelry

Since I'm fun-employed I'm really trying to get my life/house in order while I have the time. I'm painstakingly going through boxes of crap, rearranging my closet, getting rid of clothes that are out of style/don't fit, and etc... One of my projects that has been kind of collecting everyday is my jewelry stand. The little necklace tree I have was practically falling over from the weight of too many necklaces and just looked like a mess, which in turn makes the whole area look like a mess even when its not. Today, I spent nearly an hour untangling, organizing, sorting and cleaning up this hot mess of a necklace rack.

Before

After

It's not perfect but right now it is separated by silver and gold jewelry. I'm trying to employ an idea that if I don't wear/use something in a year it needs to get moved to either the donate bin or into hiding until I'm ready to part with it.

Sorry for such a short post but I'm off to get sushi with Jack for dinner. Our favorite waitress works on Thursdays nights so we want to go while she's there!

P.S. Does anyone else think that tarnished cheap jewelry smells awful? So many of my cheapie/fashiony necklaces from forever 21 are tarnished and smell awful. Blech.

Happy Saturday

Sooo much stuff is going on this weekend! I spent Friday afternoon shopping with my friend, Mel. I had to return a necklace at Anthro and so I did some shopping in the clearance section and I picked up these few items.

I already have this shirt in kelly green but its sooo soft and nice I would wear it everyday if I could. Its so comfy!

This watermelon pink sweater that is really light but I could layer with a long sleeve t-shirt and wear later when its cooler out.

Probably my favorite score was these Rust colored high heels. I absolutely love the color and they are deffinetly a throw back to the 70's. Especially at $29.95

To end the day we took a peek at DSW and I scored these shoes for 40% off the already clearance price. Love love love. I'm thinking an awesome gold necklace with these shoes and that watermelon pink top would be an adorable summer outfit.

Today I am going to ballet class in a few hours and afterward we are going to go to The Renegade Craft Fair. Its in Los Angeles this weekend for the first time! I'm sooo excited about this. I'm hoping to get some new artwork for my bedroom. Check it out if you live in Los Angeles!

Finally, we are going to go see Ray LaMontagne on Sunday evening

at the Hollywood Bowl

Which is one of the most beautiful venue's i've been too. Its set in the mountains of Los Angeles and the concert will probably start just as the sun starts to set. I absolutely can't wait. I think it will be a perfect ending to a great weekend.

Hope your is great as well!

Favorite Things

Hi all some more additions

1.) Le Crueset- I picked up two of these tiny pots to put soups and desserts in.. I love it! I bought one in this color and one in a vibrant green. I'm sure in 20 years I'll look at them and wonder why I bought this color but I like to think they will go with my mom's matching avacado green ones

2.) Riesenthal Farmers Basket- I love to take this to the farmers market and fill it up with veggies and fruits.

3.) Sunset Magazine- www.sunset.com this is may's cover and what made me fall in love with it. I will be going to stay at this sometime in the near future. I HOPE!

4.) Sex and the City the movie- love love love this movie and of course the costumes. Amazing!

5.) My new owl necklace bought from the Santa Monica Flea Market- mine is silver and doesn't have quite such a crazy looking face but i  it

I'm headed to the midwest for almost a week. yay! I can't wait to go. I'm going to try and bring back some fresh rhubarb to make my own pies without using grocery store frozen. blach. Also, my girlfrined, Stacey is getting married on Friday. YAY! I am so happy for them. I hope that this marriage brings them all that they have ever hoped for. They are so right for eachother. OK..enough of the mushy lovey goopey stuff.

Hope everyone is doing well.

love and kisses

Makeup for the day

I was browsing M.A.C.'s webpage and found this picture of the new line Painterly. Soo pretty. I might have to stop in and see what kind of damage I can do! So my makeup can't compare to this picture but its been soo long since I actually planned out and put on pretty makeup that I felt like I had to blog about it.

Today the beautiful m.a.c. makeup was:

Base: Foundation
Lid: Gorgeous Gold
Inner corner and crease: Amber lights
Brow Bone: Rose Blanc
Eye Liner: Amber Lights
Cheek: Fluerry
Lipstick: Fun Fun
Eyelashes: Get Bent by Benefit

Than I wore a pale yellow 50's esque sweater, white tank top and dark blue denim sailor pants with pale yellow Steve madden wedges, and those little lady silhouette earrings that I bought off of etsy.
