It's kind of nice

to wake up a bit early and go for a bike ride. This is my bike and I love it.

Its not very good for going up hills being that it is only 1 speed but its amazing on flat even ground. I've written a few posts about it here. I've been vying to get my hands on some bike accessories from Bobbin Bicycles in the UK but sadly they don't ship to the US. Boo. How rad are some of these accessories they sell? How abouta giant picnic basket booboo? ( imagine that said in a yoggi bear voice)



or these amazing yellow leather fingerless gloves
or this rad herringbone bike helmet/hat.
Such cool accessories. Its almost tempting enough to make a detour on our fall trip to London to pick up some cool gear.

I stopped last night at sports chalet to check out heart rate monitors so a bit of a rant about that. Hello...do they make cute looking ones? No! they are all watches and like something that you could go deep sea diving with! Ick. I was throughly dissapointed but while roaming around I found this little beauty! It really really makes me want to upgrade my current cruiser for this!

But at a price tag of $599 this Electra Gypsy bike is not for me! I really love it but there are lots of other things that I should spend $599 on!

Christmas Present 2008: Beach Cruiser

I know its a little bit early to be getting Christmas presents but last night I got to pick out my present! I am in love kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am also trying not to use too many exclamation points!!

I've wanted a beach cruiser for quite a few months and this summer I just never could commit to buying one. I didn't know if i would use it (ahem, my mountain bike) but I just really wanted one!

So last night I drove down to Torrance and picked out the cutest one and here we go! I'm envisioning a really cute basket for the front and just maybe some frilly things for the handlebar!
