Heaping Mess of Jewelry

Since I'm fun-employed I'm really trying to get my life/house in order while I have the time. I'm painstakingly going through boxes of crap, rearranging my closet, getting rid of clothes that are out of style/don't fit, and etc... One of my projects that has been kind of collecting everyday is my jewelry stand. The little necklace tree I have was practically falling over from the weight of too many necklaces and just looked like a mess, which in turn makes the whole area look like a mess even when its not. Today, I spent nearly an hour untangling, organizing, sorting and cleaning up this hot mess of a necklace rack.

It's not perfect but right now it is separated by silver and gold jewelry. I'm trying to employ an idea that if I don't wear/use something in a year it needs to get moved to either the donate bin or into hiding until I'm ready to part with it.

Sorry for such a short post but I'm off to get sushi with Jack for dinner. Our favorite waitress works on Thursdays nights so we want to go while she's there!

P.S. Does anyone else think that tarnished cheap jewelry smells awful? So many of my cheapie/fashiony necklaces from forever 21 are tarnished and smell awful. Blech.

Day 3

and all I can think of is shopping... Oh God this is going to be a long 2 months. So instead of concentrating on what I CAN'T buy lets look at what I DID buy before I lost my mind....

I picked up this super cute cotton shirt from Anthro on clearance for $19.95 ( what omg!). Even though I curl my lip at the thought of having 80 degree days in November I do really like the fact that I can buy summery shirts on clearance at Anthro for 19.95 and where them year round. If I did my math correct that is like getting it for free!

Anyways, I digress. So here is my new outfit that is getting me through not being able to shop!

I've personally choosen to wear silver with the outfit because I have more long silver necklaces and I also bought a new ring that I really wanted to wear.



but with the brown/carmel color I could definitely see someone rocking some gold pieces.

So if you see me for the next two months wearing this outfit because I have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING else to wear since i'm not "allowed" to shop please don't judge me!

Monday

My lady in leisure lifestyle is back on track. Woke up around 8 a.m. and had some fab snuggle time and got up just in time to have a bit of breakfast with the boy and make him a latte to take to work.

Now I'm checking up on my fav. blogs and found something that I must share with you all!



These little rings snap onto your finger and provide you with a tiny little appetizer plate. So when you are prowling a party you can have a drink and a snack without sitting down! Pure genius. Spoon sisters carry these and at $9.95 for a box of ten I'm tempted to get these for my next soiree...Oh wait..I'm supposed to stop buying frivolous junk! Ok...someone out there buy theses and have a party so I can' try one out!
