Winter Wearables

I'm pretty excited to wear my new winter gear. Its been getting chilly in LA and I know it will be cold when I'm home for Christmas!

and a new instagram of us on our way to Target. Something about this weekend made me feel super grown up. I kinda liked it.

November!

Wow November is here already! I've got an action packed month - bestie coming to visit next weekend, maybe another friend the following weekend and Thanksgiving! Pretty soon its going to be December! I can't wait!


Plus it feels like fall in LA with the cool nights and cool sunny days!

Fall Snuggly Clothes

Even though the temp yesterday hit 101 degrees ( by the Ocean!!) I'm still dreaming of cool crisp weather. This weekend I did a short stop at Anthropologie and found a few sweaters in the clearance section that I absolutely "needed". I am considering just wearing layers in Europe. I think a shirt and maybe a warm wool sweater and a scarf might be warm enough during the day that I won't need to lug around a jacket. I hate jackets. Growing up in Wisconsin you'd think that I understand the necessities of having a jacket but I don't. I really really hate them even if they're super cute.

This wrap wool sweater. I actually bought a dark green version and I might switch out the belt with a big thick other color belt.

The Dog Days of Fall?

Holy bejebus. I came here the other day to write a long post about how wonderfully cool and crisp and fallish it has been here in socal and bam. Its 90 degrees with no breeze what so ever. Its the summer days everyone has been hoping for all summer but instead get them in September. Personally, I think its gross. I tried to combat it by trying on wool sweaters at Anthropologie today. In my mind its sweater, jeans and boot weather.

Snuggly Sunday Nights

The air has gotten cooler and crisper here in Southern California. I'm hoping its for keeps but one can never be sure! It is only the end of September and occasionally we have scorching hot falls. Today, we slow cooked a big old chunk of beef with potatos, carrots, turnips, rutabaga, onion, celery and garlic. Poured on a black currant and cabaret marinade and thoroughly enjoyed it tonight. I enjoyed it so much I forgot to take a picture before I ate it. Oops.

I hope everyone is enjoying a snuggly sunday like we are!

Happy Halloweenie!

Hello Everyone!!

I'm finally back in Los Angeles after a long month of traveling!! I can't wait to not go anywhere till Christmas....

Couple of things to update on:

1.) I'm joining a blogger's book club. One of my daily reads Jasmine has put together a book club to go to. This I am really excited for because its a way to expand my friend network and its also a way to read more! I'm always thinking that I need to spend more time reading but I always do something else...ahem zuma (which I'm on bonus level 12 and can't seem to make it to level 13 without dying...in case you were wondering!)

2.) Need to wake that lazy bum of a boyfriend up ( its only 7:30 am) and drag him to the pumpkin patch with me! I really really want to get a pumpkin! Even though today is halloween and tomorrow it will be over :(

3.) really ticked off that I totally missed this event again! I have been trying to go to the Dia De Los Muertos event for like the past 3 years and every stinking year miss it! Fark....It was last weekend :(

So on that note lovies. I'm out. ( p.s. I wish I had this awesome spider lace hat from the pic below!)

If you're going to San Francisco...

I'm just finishing my breakfast and about to start putting everything into my suitcase to prepare for my 4 oclock flight to San Francisco. I'm going up there to celebrate my best friends 30th birthday and party it up with other friends who live up there. I am super excited for this fun filled birthday!

If you've never been to San Francisco I highly recommend going especially if you know someone who lives there. The first time I went it was on more of a tourist type of visit and I didn't really care for Downtown San Fran but I loved the wine country and thought it was gorgeous! Now this will be my 3rd time up there as a non tourist and I love it! There are so many unique neighborhoods and things to do! I'm a little bummed that the weather isn't going to be a bit more chillier ( its going to be almost 80's). I'm not going to lie and I love the cold crisp fall weather and I even bought the cutest sweater from Anthropologie in hopes that I'd be wearing it in SFO. I guess it will have to wait until I go to Wisconsin! I think it will be perfect to wear when its like 60's and then to layer with a longsleeve shirt for when its 30-40 degrees! Pair it with some cute jeans, boots and a gorgeous long necklace and we have a smoking outfit.


I love how anthropologie is so detailed orientated. Even the back has some interesting patterning.



So, I am looking forward to going to lots of good restaurants and bars and just normal shenanigans that happen when we get together to play!

Grandpas

Morning Bloggitettes-

I just finished my morning coffee and I'm seriously bummed that it is empty..Sigh. I wish I had gotten a venti instead of a grande. Oh wells! Lately I've been obsessed with old grandpa men. I love them. I just want to adopt them all! It makes me sad when they are alone! So heres a picture of my grandpa. I miss him so much and think of him often.

This is a perfect example of him. Happy with a car. He used to work on the cars and I would just watch and talk to him. I was probably sooo annoying but he always entertained me.



This is my other grandpa. One of my favorite pictures of him. They look like they had such a great outing that day.

Morning

Hi Kids-

This morning its pretty crisp outside and I'm in the mood to wrap up in some luxurious sweater. The bummer part of it is that by noon it will be 80 some degree's and too hot for a sweater but one can dream about crisp mornings that continue into the day!
