Blogging once a week. If i can stick to this regimen I will be happy blogisticker.
Sooooooooooooooooooooooooo. I decided that I want to continue selling things on Etsy. I haven't made any cards in a very long time ( February) and I want to start back up and maybe sell oddities that I find too. I think Etsy is a great second job to pick up some cash and be creative. I might put up some of my photographs to sell as well.
Today, is kind of sad day. My friend Tolga is moving back to Turkey. We are having a dinner tonight and he's going to cook us some authentic Turkish dishes, which I am soooo excited for!!
ALso, yesterday, I stopped in MAC store, started twitching. I managed to get out with only an undercover eye stick and some new lipglass.... its hotness friends.
Alright, bloggity bloggers. I've gotta get this ass in gear and do some craftizations.

Sunday Mornings
So, I know I don't blog for 10 years and all of the sudden i write 2 in one day. What are things coming to?
After my og post, we made some breakfast and we had elephant eyes, eggs in the basket, whatever the f- you want to call it. It was delish. Of course, I had my coffee and kombucha fix and some farmers market cantaloupe. YUM.

After breakfast, we headed out to the farmers market and picked up our weekly produce. I'm not sure if its cheaper then shopping at a big chain grocery store but as far as shopping at whole foods/wild oats. Its wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy cheaper. So we spent $47 and the bulk of the money went to flowers $12 and berries (3 boxes) $11 and then the other $24 went to other veggies and fruits
So here is the famers market booty! IN my uber cute riesenthal shopping bag.

So, if you want an idea of how much it bought us
1 peach
1 nectarine
2 lemons
2 pluots
1 yellow raspberrie box
1 red reaspberry box
1 blueberry box
1 bunch of grapes (about 1 pound)
1 bunch of radishes
1 bunch of leek
1 bunch of basil (yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm)
1 green onion bunch
3 corn on the cobs
1 head of lettuce
1 bunch of dill
1 bok choy
2 avocados
1 head of broccoli
1 bunch of spinach
4 flower bouquets
And, took a cute picture of the puppers. They were waiting to get a little bit of our left over elephant eyes.

2.) Riesenthal Farmers Basket- I love to take this to the farmers market and fill it up with veggies and fruits.

3.) Sunset Magazine- www.sunset.com this is may's cover and what made me fall in love with it. I will be going to stay at this sometime in the near future. I HOPE!

4.) Sex and the City the movie- love love love this movie and of course the costumes. Amazing!

5.) My new owl necklace bought from the Santa Monica Flea Market- mine is silver and doesn't have quite such a crazy looking face but i  it

I'm headed to the midwest for almost a week. yay! I can't wait to go. I'm going to try and bring back some fresh rhubarb to make my own pies without using grocery store frozen. blach. Also, my girlfrined, Stacey is getting married on Friday. YAY! I am so happy for them. I hope that this marriage brings them all that they have ever hoped for. They are so right for eachother. OK..enough of the mushy lovey goopey stuff.
Hope everyone is doing well.

Interesting Admittal
I saw this when I was reading some reviews on you tube. I thought it was interesting that someone actually admitted some wrong was done. It's great though that they had that passion and hoping we will have that same passion to change the world.
"We (babyboomers) started out with all the good intentions. All thats left is our music. We screwed up the rest. Hope you new generations have better luck. Rock on."

Portobello Sammy with yummy salads
So, I forgot completely to take pictures while make this but thought that its pretty easy.
Portobello Mushroom Burger with Spicy Avocado Sauce
Its actually a recipe off of Martha Stewart but it was really yummy so i thought I'd share
serves 2
2 large cleaned portobellos with stems removed
1 tblsp evoo
salt and pepper
1 ripe avocado that is roughly chopped
1 tblsp. spicy brown mustard
1 tblsp. horseradish
Juice of a fresh lime
1 jalapeno chopped ( with or without seeds/inner body for heat control)
2 hamburger buns ( i bought challah buns)
Tomato ( 1lg or a couple of small to put on top of your "burger"
Shredded Mozzarella for top of "burger"
Preheat oven to 425 and on a large rimmed baking sheet toss mushrooms with evoo and 2/3c. water and season to taste with s&p. place mushrooms stem sides down.
( i made this in a lg measuring glass and then poured the oil/water mixture over the mushrooms)
while baking, mash avocado with fork in a bowl. Stir in mustard, horseradish, lime juice, and jalapeƱo. Season with salt and pepper.
Divide rolls and toast them. Then place a portobello on top of roll with a little bit of tomato and shredded cheese.
Enjoy!
I served it with some Greek salad I bought at the grocery store and some corn on the cob.
